Pastoral Assistant was in the World Youth Day

The Pastoral Assistant of the school, Ms. Agnes Ng (with a colorful dress), has participated in the World Youth Day in Madrid. Before the series of official events, she went to Avila with her group-mates as a pilgrimage and made new friends around, including some Australians as shown in the Sunday Examiner above.

In the passage people of Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar were interviewed and have described the religious atmosphere in the countries. Agnes commented she could not imagine and had seldom thought of the persecutions of Christians in current centuries. She said “Catholics in Hong Kong are a bit spoiled as Hong Kong has relatively higher level of freedom of religion. We should treasure it and pray for those who are still suffering yet insisting without regrets or hesitations because of this identity. This is the real ‘Firmes en la Fe’.”

More sharing on the World Youth Day would be posted later.
